About
Editorial standards & how we research these guides
These Australia study guides are published to help African students make a high-stakes decision with accurate, current information. Here is who writes them, where every number comes from, and how we keep them right.
Who publishes these guides
This site is published by Craydel, a licensed education agency that helps students across Africa find and apply to universities abroad, with free AI-powered matching and a dedicated counsellor. This hub is an independent guide: we link to official government sources for the rules, and to Craydel when you want help choosing a university or applying.
How we research every number
We do not paraphrase other blogs. Every fee, entry requirement, work-rights figure and cost range in these guides comes from one of two places, and each guide cites which:
- Craydel’s own data. Course fees, entry requirements, campuses and admissions figures come from Craydel’s live course database — the same data our counsellors use to place students in Australia. We query it directly before publishing, rather than repeating a number that may have drifted.
- Official government & institutional sources. Visa rules, proof-of-funds amounts, health-cover requirements and work rights come from the responsible authorities (for Australia, the immigration and study-information bodies) and are linked in each guide’s Sources section.
Where money is converted between currencies, we say the rate and date and note that rates move. We show figures as ranges when the real answer is a range.
Who writes and reviews them
Guides are written by Craydel’s Australia counselling desk — counsellors who work on real Australia applications for African students every intake — and reviewed by the Craydel Australia admissions team before publishing. Each guide carries the author, the reviewer and the date it was last reviewed.
What we will not do
- We do not invent or estimate fees. If we don’t hold reliable data for something, we say so and point you to the official source.
- We do not publish visa “success rates” or approval odds. Those figures are unreliable and misleading, so we leave them out and focus on what you control.
- We are honest about trade-offs — for example, that Australia’s tuition-free public universities exist but come with their own language and application requirements, rather than implying an easier route than reality.
Freshness & corrections
Fees, visa charges and exchange rates change. We date every guide and refresh it, and we always tell you to verify time-sensitive figures with the official source before you pay or lodge. If you spot something out of date or wrong, tell us — a Craydel counsellor will check it against the live data and we’ll correct it.
How Craydel makes money
These guides are free and there is no paywall. Craydel earns from universities when a student it supports enrols — never from you. That funds the counselling and this guide. We link to Craydel because we believe the free matching and application support genuinely helps, but the rules and numbers here stand on official sources you can check yourself.
